The invention relates to pearlescent pigments based on mica particles coated with metal oxides, preferably titanium and iron, and can be used to make glazes and enamels.
The aim of the invention is to improve the light fastness of the pigment.
PRI me R 1. 100 g of mica particles are supplied in succession with samples of 0.8 g of SnOa and 30 tYu in an aqueous suspension. Suspended undigested pigment has a weak yellow interference color. After the stirrer has been switched off and the pigment has precipitated, the supernatant is removed and 2500 ml of water, 81 g of anhydrous FeCIs and 16 g of sodium acetate are added. After heating for 1 hour to 70-80 ° C, filtration is performed, washed with chlorine, dried and calcined for 30 minutes at 850 ° C.
A deep yellow golden interference color pigment is obtained, which, according to X-ray structural analysis data (Deba Scherrer diagram), consists of discrete layers of rutile, pseudo-brooch and hematite with a thickness of 20.10 and 25nm, respectively. The content of components in the pigment, wt.%: TiOa 17,6; Re203 23.4; Sn02 0.5; mica 58.5.
The pigment has good durability in the glazes and according to Kronos test (according to five-speed gray, scale) has a light resistance of 5. This means that the pigment does not show photo-activity, since under the action of light according to the above analysis there is practically no change.

1. Pearl with a pearly sheen on. the basis of mica particles in the form of coated plates, including a sequentially located inner layer of titanium dioxide in the form of rutile, containing a rutile activator of metal oxide, and the next layer of pseudobrucite, with the exception that, in order to increase light resistance, it contains a layer of pseudobrucite with a thickness of 5-15 nm and an additional outer layer of pseudobrucite of iron oxide RegOz with a thickness of 5-50 nm in the following ratio of components, wt.%:

Iron oxide 10.0-50.0
Rutilization activator 0.5-50.0 Mica Else
